The last few months have been busy and critical for our first freedom. The Supreme Court has ruled on pandemic-related government mandates, the ministerial exception, exemptions to the contraceptive-abortifacient mandate and Title VII nondiscrimination protections for those in the LGBTQ community. So, what’s next for the First Amendment and religious liberty specifically?
In this panel discussion at the Hoosier Leadership Series, I discussed this topic with Indiana Senator John Crane and Pastor Steve Yeaton from First Christian Church in Columbus, Indiana. We discussed the Scriptural foundation for religious liberty for all (What is it?), recent events and court decisions (Where is it?) and practical ideas fro championing our first freedom into the future (What’s next?).
