As you are well aware by now, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away last week, and President Trump is scheduled to announce his nominee for the U.S. Supreme Court in the next few days. Here are a few key reflections from these developments, including.
- The Pals: lessons from the legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg and her remarkable friendship with the late Justice Antonin Scalia.
- The Process: a brief overview of the nomination process, Constitutional provisions and historical practice in election years. Here’s an in-depth explainer.
- The Problems: why the nomination firestorm highlights our oligarchy (at least on social issues) and our dysfunctional approach to faith in public life.

Thank you for all this great information on the new nominee to the Supreme Court. After reading about her achievements I would say she should be immediately installed.
The excellent article from The Gospel Coalition was so thorough I feel she could even run for President someday.
I realize she will have a rough road ahead but will pray for her to stay strong. After reading all this stuff I have no doubt she will victorious.
