This election season, Pennsylvania has drawn a great deal of attention due to the controversy over its mail-in ballot system. So, what exactly is going on in Pennsylvania? In this episode, I interviewed Kurt Weaver, the Director of the Church Ambassador Network in Pennsylvania (a ministry of Pennsylvania Family Institute), about this controversy and the pending U.S. Supreme Court case concerning PA’s mail-in voting system.

We also discussed Kurt’s ministry and the work of the Church Ambassador Network (CAN), as follows:

  • The remarkable and often forgotten history of Pennsylvania and its importance to religious freedom in the United States.
  • A description of the Pennsylvania State Capitol and the rich religious symbolism throughout the building, including this quote (inscribed in the Rotunda) from William Penn about the founding of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania:

“There may be room there for such a Holy Experiment. For the Nations want a precedent and my God will Make it the Seed of a Nation. That an example may be set up to the Nations. That we may do the thing that is truly wise and just.”

  • Kurt’s efforts to connect church leaders and government officials with the goal of ministering to those officials and partnering with them for the common good.
  • How CAN has served and is serving church leaders and community needs during the pandemic.
  • CAN’s efforts to equip Christians to honor God in how they vote and engage in public life. Here is a link to Kurt’s interview with Joe Watkins, a former CNN anchor.
  • A strategic and Biblical vision for impacting the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the years ahead.
