I heard the following quote this past week: “Conservatives think in elections, and progressives think in generations.” I encourage you to look past the labels in this quote to the point (which rings true to me): those that embrace progressivism–and especially progressivism on the issue of human sexuality–have engaged in a long-term, strategic plan to change the definition of marriage and morality in the United States. And, in the last seven to ten days, many in that movement have turned to enforcing those beliefs through legal and cultural means.

In this episode, I review what I might term “the blitz” and how Christians should think through and respond to these developments.

Key Takeaways:

  • Why these events are at least 100 years in the making.
  • A brief overview of the cultural and legal developments of the last seven to ten days. For Christians that have followed cultural and legal developments, these are not novel or all that surprising. But the velocity and ferocity of “the blitz” is certainly disconcerting.
  • A key decision that Christians need to make about responding to the sexual revolution.
  • Thoughts on our own long-term, strategic plan to model and promote Biblical principles in public life.
