Jack Phillips of Masterpiece Cake Shop had his day in court yesterday. This case is a critical one for creative professionals that wish to operate their business according to their convictions. It also has big implications for anyone that values the right to work, speak and create without fear of government interference. BCI Director Josh Hershberger was interviewed yesterday (about the Masterpiece Cake Shop case) for the radio program Commonwealth Matters, a weekly radio program of the Commonwealth Policy Center that airs throughout much of Kentucky. In this episode (a copy of that interview), Josh discusses the major legal issues in the case and gives an analysis of the oral arguments.
